Our Unique Approach

Our award-winning approach balances the need to drive clarity of purpose, the environment to get work done efficiently, whilst increasing the engagement of the team. This approach has been proven to succeed at both company and value stream levels.

This is delivered by a team of circa 100 full-time experts integrated with nationally recognised specialists. Our team members are deployed into the clients, working shoulder to shoulder with the local workforce; training, coaching, and mentoring to address their specific ambitions and diagnosed challenges. Project scopes have included; strategy development, operational excellence, productivity, culture, business development, and new product introduction.

As a not-for-profit organisation, we are motivated by the transfer of knowledge and capability to enable ambitious supply chain companies to grow and compete internationally.

MEET OUR TEAM

Alistair Gower

Alistair has over 20 years’ experience in both the aerospace and automotive sectors. Initially a manufacturing engineer at Toyota UK, he went on to lead new model introduction in their vehicle assembly division. Alistair joined Rolls-Royce to work with their external supply chain, successfully improving capability through practical application of the knowledge and skills developed at Toyota.

 

 

 

 

David Rose

David worked for 35 years in Rolls-Royce holding various senior roles in engineering, business improvement and corporate development including a secondment to the UK Government Department of Trade and Industry as a Deputy Director to examine the competitiveness of the UK aerospace industry and the role of regional economic development.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Jan Stevenson

Jan has excellent organisational, planning and communicative skills, along with a wealth of administrative experience within various business sectors, both public and private, including banking, insurance, aviation, manufacturing and probation services. Very much a ‘go to’ person who keeps the office well organised and professionally run.





Fraser McIntosh

Over 25 years’ engineering and operations leadership experience in Aerospace manufacturing, focusing on engineering operations, lean/Six-Sigma, process improvement and supply chain development.

Currently Director of Manufacturing Engineering, Rolls-Royce Civil Aerospace, he is responsible for all manufacturing engineering and improvement activity across the global domestic and external supply chains.

 

In 20 years with Rolls-Royce, he has held roles in the operations and engineering businesses, responsible for new facilities, supply chain development, manufacturing engineering and business improvement. 

Malcolm James

Malcolm has over 20 years’ experience of developing suppliers on behalf of blue-chip OEMs in both the aerospace and automotive sectors. 

He has held positions within Rolls-Royce and Toyota Motor Europe aimed at developing the capability of their global supply chains.  He has extensive proven practical experience of the Toyota Production System within operational and transactional environments, and a track record of improving both Rolls-Royce and Toyota’s pan-European business performance. 

Malcolm was part of think-tank in 2012 that helped create Sharing in Growth.

Darren Cheetham

Over 20 years’ experience in automotive, nuclear and aerospace. Held senior positions with Rolls-Royce and Toyota UK covering production operations, supply chain management, new product introductions and training and development. With extensive knowledge of the Toyota Way and the Rolls-Royce Production System, joined Sharing In Growth in 2014.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Steve Spencer

Over 30 years’ experience primarily in the automotive and aerospace sectors within manufacturing, quality, training, and engineering. Steve has held senior Operations roles in both sectors and has been part of Sharing in Growth since 2016. He is focussed on developing people and businesses via the Sharing Growth Programme.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Dan Cramp

Over 20 years’ experience in automotive and aerospace sectors, holding multiple senior positions including Operations Director, Production Manager, Supply Chain Manager, and Procurement Director. Dan is a Member of the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (MCIPS), has achieved his Six Sigma Green Belt and has a Higher National Diploma (HND) in Mechanical Engineering. Dan joined Sharing in Growth in 2017 and previous to this had worked on the Sharing in Growth Nuclear Programme.

 

 

Jeff Moore

Distinguished career in public sector finance.

CEO of East Midlands Development Agency in 2004. Working with government departments delivering economic Development and Business support initiatives.

Chairman of three Venture Capital Fund Advisory Committees, non executive director of George Bateman & Son Ltd and Trustee of the Land Restoration Trust.

 

 

Nick Devey

40 years’ experience in automotive manufacturing, logistics, lean consulting and executive coaching.

Worked for Toyota for 13 years in Senior Management roles in Production Planning and Control, Supplier Management, Quality Management and TPS (Lean).

Currently runs a lean consultancy company supporting clients in their management coaching, implementing lean management systems as well as advising on process improvements.

Ashlea Finn

CIMA qualified accountant with over 10 years’ experience in finance roles within the construction and aerospace sectors, including finance business partner roles in Rolls-Royce.

Part of the team that created the Sharing in Growth programme and now has more than five years’ experience as a Business Transformation Manager.

David Jones

Over 20 years’ experience primarily in the automotive and aerospace sectors within quality, engineering, warranty, pre-production, and supplier development fields. Dave has held a number of management roles across both sectors and is now focused on the successful delivery of the Sharing in Growth programme which he has been part of since its creation in 2013.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Graham Trevarthen

Over 35 years’ experience with Rolls-Royce in engineering, marketing, and business development.

Closely involved in the launch of a number of major Airbus and Boeing aircraft and engine programmes.

Previously Director of Corporate Strategy for Rolls-Royce, with extensive involvement with UK Government and the European Commission on economic development, funding, and competition matters. Closely involved in creating Sharing in Growth and the Aerospace Technology Institute. Continues to be involved in economic development, especially bringing advanced manufacturing businesses in the aerospace, space and automotive sectors to deprived areas of the UK.

Andy Page

Andy was one of the founders of SIG and served as CEO from 2012 until 2022. He continues to provide support to the team on strategy and company development.

He has previously held senior engineering and supply chain management roles in Rolls-Royce, including Chief Engineer RB199, Procurement Director for their German division (based in Berlin) and led Supplier Development across the company’s worldwide supply chain.

He co-founded and Chaired the UK’s National Aerospace Technology Exploitation Program (NATEP) and sat on the government’s national manufacturing productivity working party. A Fellow of the IMechE, Andy has been a member of the Queen’s Award for Innovation panel since 2016.

Paul Elliott

Paul is an experienced lean transformation specialist with more than 15 years’ continuous improvement experience in both operational and transactional environments.

Paul started his career in Toyota UK working to optimise the supply chain through effective new product introduction and the application of Toyota Production System principles. Furthering this experience in Rolls-Royce resulted in him leading the Supplier Development function in North America. Paul returned to the UK in 2016 to join Sharing in Growth and drive productivity improvements in the UK aerospace sector.
