As a supporter of The Women in Aviation and Aerospace Charter, Sharing in Growth is pleased to announce that five new signatories came on board at the IAWA European Leadership Forum’s second annual conference in London.

The new signatories bring the total number of signatories and supporting organisations to 185.

The Women in Aviation and Aerospace Charter is a UK government Charter committing the UK’s aviation and aerospace sectors to work together to build a more balanced and fair industry for women. An IAWA Connect event held in London in May 2018 led to the Charter’s launch at the Farnborough Air Show in July 2018.

The purpose of the latest IAWA Leadership Forum was to encourage the development of women in the aerospace and aviation industries, and to motivate new generations of women to become part of these industries.

With just over 150 people from around the world attending, the forum also featured inspirational talks from Red Bull Air Race Pilot Mélanie Astles, planetary scientist Dr Suzie Imber, and British Gliding Team member Liz Sparrow as well as well as Catherine Adams, ​Acting Director of Aviation and Deputy Director for Aviation Strategy & Communications, Department for Transport.
