“We were offered access to the SiG Team Leader Academy as part of our OWGP/SiG engagement and have put all our Production Team-Leaders through the training.  It has been hugely beneficial in providing learning, context, motivation, and confidence for our TLs to engage with business improvement activities and helped in overcoming initial inertia within our TL group.  We would not have achieved the level of success in our improvement programme without it.”

Managing Director

Hutchinson Engineering

“The Team Leader Academy has raised the standards and capabilities of our production team, enabling the Team Leaders to support their Production Managers in delivering vastly improved performance metrics. With a far greater awareness of the benefits of good communication, good data visual management and an inquisitive approach to problem solving, the Team Leaders have all developed into operators clearly capable of moving to the next level. The direct benefits our business has seen as a result of engagement in the team leader academy has fallen straight through into our Level 2 performance metrics. We have seen OTIF move from 40% to 95%, Foundry yields move from 82% to over 90%, and machine shop spindle hours increase from 750 to 1100 hours per week. As a result, the business is in a better commercial and financial position as a result of engagement in the team leader academy, as well as being a much better place to work.”

“Since 2014, SiG has been instrumental in transforming Winbro from an aspiring family-owned business to a global leader in advanced technologies. A key achievement has been the development of our leadership team through the SiG Team Leader Academy, which equipped production personnel with the skills to move into significant management roles. Two notable graduates, Chris Commons and Pearce Taylor, progressed from machine operators to leadership positions, significantly contributing to our success and earning Winbro the Ikigai Award at the 2022 SiG All STAR Event. The development of Chris and Pearce would not have been possible without the support and coaching from the SiG Team.”

“The results from the team leader academy were tangible from day 1. We had two members of the team enrolled and the positive impact that the academy had on them was profound. One team leader that had been in post for over 15 years had always resisted the implementation of DSUMs but he fully embraced the lessons learned and his approach to lean thinking was rotated 180 degrees and has now become a firm advocate of all of the principles. The second cell leader that had been in post for a minimal period fully integrated the learning into his leadership style and is a shining light in the organisation.”

“Through the academy’s fantastic training, our four team leaders have started to mature into inspiring leaders. The structured program and dedicated coaches have equipped them with the skills and confidence to lead with excellence. Their guidance and support have been instrumental in shaping the success of the team. We are grateful for the invaluable experience and knowledge gained through this transformative journey. Thank you, SiG, for your commitment to excellence and leadership development!”

“Throughout the programme with SiG there is clear evidence of successful initiatives that have helped Poeton position for growth. The commitment and the skill level of the SiG coaches have been an inspiration to our employees and have provided a legacy toolbox that has helped the business survive the pandemic.”
“The implementation of a Visual Planning Board has facilitated the transfer of ownership and accountability to the cell team for managing their own production, capacity plan and output. Visually, it is a very powerful tool and with a quick glance presents a clear picture of the cell’s performance against target.”
