Our next STAR Discovery Day will be held at Oxley Group’s site in Ulverston. During the day, members of the Oxley team will share our journey on developing a future skills pipeline. Oxley is based on a peninsula, adjacent to a large defence prime who are undertaking an active recruitment programme; this has resulted in a challenging skills market. Oxley has developed several initiatives, from STEM and skills outreach activities, to an apprentice and graduate programme, and a framework to develop and reward team members.
During the ‘go-look-see’, we plan to take you through these initiatives and demonstrate through metrics how they are delivering business benefits.
In the afternoon, Sharing in Growth will facilitate a workshop on Succession Planning, so we can discuss the challenges faced by SMEs in identifying and developing the next generation of leaders and experts within our businesses.
