Sharing in Growth launches podcast series on Ignite Academy

In an exciting new venture, Sharing in Growth has launched a video and podcast series that pulls back the curtain on their innovative Ignite Academy programme – a bold leadership and change initiative that is already transforming the organisation.

Hosted by Pete Rhodes, Managing Director of All For Good, the series features candid conversations with the key figures behind Ignite Academy. The inaugural episode brings together Malcolm James, CEO of Sharing in Growth, Gemma Morgan, founder of Morgan Eight consultancy, and Sarah Broadhead, Chartered Psychologist and Director at Broadhead Performance, to explore the origins, philosophy and early impact of this unique programme.

Ignite Podcast 1: Going from good to great

The seeds of Ignite Academy were planted through inspiration. After attending several high-performance business network events where he heard from exceptional leaders – including mountaineers who have summited Mount Everest and transformational figures in women’s football – Malcolm began questioning how those same leadership principles could be applied within Sharing in Growth.

In the podcast, Malcolm explains: “It just made me think about, okay, so how can we take the principles of that and actually bring it into Sharing in Growth so that we could go to some places where people don’t naturally go?”

Thus, ideas were discussed, and Ignite Academy was born.

Aligned with Sharing in Growth’s core values – particularly “Inspire” (challenge, motivate and change) and “Ikigai” (passion and purpose in everything we do) – Ignite Academy represents a significant investment of both resources and time. Crucially, it involves quality time away from daily operations for self-reflection, peer-to-peer discussion and skill development.

The programme’s experiential approach, underpinned by academic rigour and practical application, creates a safe space for participants to experiment with new tools and approaches that can add value both internally and for clients.

Are you a CEO contemplating a major cultural shift? A leader struggling to justify investment in people development? Or simply someone curious about what genuine organisational transformation looks like?

If so, this podcast series offers something rare: honest, unfiltered insight into a programme that is delivering measurable results.

What makes these conversations particularly valuable is their authenticity. Malcolm doesn’t shy away from discussing vulnerability, the challenges of change, or the initial fear that naturally accompanies transformation. For leaders who have sat through countless case studies of sanitised success stories, this refreshingly candid discussion provides the real texture of leading change – including the uncomfortable moments of not having all the answers.

It’s this honesty that makes the lessons genuinely applicable.

For leaders considering similar investments in their teams, this podcast series offers valuable insights into what is possible when organisations truly commit to developing their people.
Malcolm says it himself: “What got us here won’t get us there”. This is a philosophy that is clearly driving Sharing in Growth toward ambitious new horizons.
